Choose Your Path

Two programs. Different entry points. Both with practicum placement included.

Two paths into healthcare at OIHI. The PSW Certificate is for people drawn to hands-on patient care — long-term care, home care, community settings. The MOA Diploma is for the admin side: scheduling, billing, records. Both run hybrid and have financial aid available for qualifying students.

PSW Certificate

Ontario needs 50,000 more PSWs by 2032. If you're already caring for someone in your personal life, the PSW Certificate is the formal path into that career. OIHI arranges your practicum.

Every placement is arranged through our network of 80+ employer partners—facilities and clinics where OIHI already has established relationships, with placements close to where you live.

PSW Practicum

MOA Practicum

Placement 1 — Facility (200 hrs)

Long-term care facility. Supervised clinical practice in a structured residential setting.

Placement 2 — Community (100 hrs)

Home care or community support setting. You'll work with clients in their own environments — different situations, different needs.

300+ hours total

Supervised throughout. Every placement arranged by OIHI through our 80+ GTA employer partner network.

Financial Aid Available

Both programs are financial-aid eligible. PSW students may also qualify for up to $35,440 in Ontario Government incentives. Your admissions advisor will walk you through what applies to you.

Up to 50% Scholarship

Scholarship support of up to 50% of tuition is available for qualifying students. Your admissions advisor will confirm the current terms and your eligibility before you commit to anything.
